The drugs were seized following a joint operation between the Gardaí and Revenue’s Customs Service this morning
It is understood hundreds of kilos worth of the drug which is believed to be crystal meth was recovered
A number of follow up searches were conducted in Cork and Kerry resulting in the arrests of two men.
The men, both aged in their 40s are currently detained at Garda Stations in the Southern Region
The drugs will be sent to Dublin for analysis and if it's confirmed as crystal meth it will be the biggest-ever seizure of the drug in Ireland
