Cork County Council Library and Arts Services is launching the Summer Stars Reading Programme 2022 on June 11th.
The programme invites children throughout the County to take part by getting a reading card from their local library. Participants use this card to track their progress and continue to develop their reading during the summer holidays from school.
Registration and participation is free, and each child who registers will receive a Summer Stars pack with a reading card, a bookmark and a pencil.
The library will also offer a certificate of achievement at the end for all participants who read at least one book or e-book during the Summer holidays from school.
A programme of events and activities from Cork County Arts office including art, craft, music and writing workshops for children will run in conjunction with Summer Stars Reading.
The programme will run until August 28th.
