Survivors 'Sickened' By Decision To Seal Mother And Baby Home Commission Archive For 30 Years

That's according to Cork TD Holly Cairns who says the idea that the commission's files would have otherwise been destroyed after the report is published is 'insulting'.

Children's Minister Roderic O'Gorman has denied the passing of the controversial bill is about sealing the archive for 30 years and says the bill actually serves to protect the database.

He also states that he is committed 'to do right by' survivors of institutional abuse in terms of protecting the data and improving access to it.

Speaking to RedFM News, West Cork Solidarity TD Holly Cairns says she doesn't buy the Government's reasoning:
