Negotiations between Aer Lingus and the Irish Airline Pilot's Association are continuing
It's aimed at resolving the pay row which has led to Aer Lingus pilots undertaking a work-to-rule.
It's understood the discussions are at a very early stage, and could last a number of hours.
Hundreds of flights have been cancelled including the 8.30pm London/Heathrow service out of Cork this evening
IALPA President Mark Tighe says negotiating teams have been nominated from both sides
"Aer Lingus have agreed to have a smaller team of three people on each side to see if it can be progressed, and that is continuing on as we speak. Negotiations will continue on a more technical basis with a smaller group, and we hope that management comes to see the solution"
