The Taoiseach has said the disposal of dead children's organs without the knowledge of parents is incomprehensible.
It comes after a HSE audit identified the practice of organ incineration at a number of hospitals.
RedFM News spoke to Leona Bermingham, a mother of one of the babies, who said she fears more families will receive the same news she did.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin said the practice was wrong and highly distressing for the families of those children:
"It's difficult to comprehend that hospitals are still, albeit not on the same scale as prior to that inquiry, but nonetheless, are engaging in practices such as incineration, or retaining organs."
