The Taoiseach Micheál Martin was due to meet the US President Joe Biden for the annual St Patrick's Day celebrations today before he tested positive for Covid last night.
It's unclear whether the meeting will still go ahead virtually.
Before receiving his positive PCR test result the Taoiseach joined the President at the Ireland Funds gala in Washington DC last night.
