Micheal Martin arrived back in Cork this afternoon
He was met at his home by a crowd singing 'The Banks of My Own Lovely Lee'.
The Turner's Cross native was elected Taoiseach by the Dail yesterday, as the new Programme for Government was approved by coalition parties Fianna Fail, Fine Gael, and the Green Party.
Neighbours and family gathered to welcome home Mícheál Martin, and speaking to RedFM News outside his home this afternoon the Taoiseach says it was a great honour to be welcomed home like this today:
