The Taoiseach says he’s receiving feedback that most nightclubs are happy to reopen tonight despite the new guidelines being issued last minute.
Nightclubs are welcoming back customers for the first time since March 2020 at 100 per cent capacity.
Meanwhile, pubs and restaurants can stay open past half eleven while customers can get a drink at the bar but they must be socially distanced.
Speaking to RedFM News Cork City Chairman of the Vintners' Federation of Ireland Michael O'Donovan says he hopes people will come out and support the local hospitality industry this Jazz weekend:
"Hopefully, people will still have a very enjoyable weekend and they'll still get out and about and socialise, because I think it's important for jobs, and for pubs and restaurants across hospitality that people do come out and support local this weekend."
