Around 500 people are attending the unions annual three-day conference in the city this week.
New research from the TUI has found that four out of ten teachers surveyed said they do not think they will still be teaching in ten years’ time.
TUI President Liz Farrell has warned the results of the survey are worrying and show the need for full-time contracts for teachers when they are first appointed and more opportunities for promotion.
Higher Education Minister will address the conference today, while Education Minister Norma Foley is due to speak at the conference tomorrow.
