A teenager is due in court this morning in connection with assault and public order incidents in Carrigaline at the weekend
The 16 year old who was arrested yesterday afternoon was charged in relation to public order incidents on the town's main street on Saturday
Gardaí attended the scene and in the course of making an arrest, three Garda members were obstructed both physically and verbally.
During these incidents a 16 year old was assaulted by a number of youths.
He managed to escape and return home where he was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
In a statement issued to RedFM News this ,morning Gardai says a 16 year old was arrested and questioned yesterday afternoon, he's been charged this morning and is due before this morning's sitting of the District Court.
