The teenager jailed for the murder of West Cork student Cameron Blair has launched an appeal against the life sentence handed down to him.
The 17 year old, who cannot be named due to his age, pleaded guilty to the murder of 20 year old Cameron from Ballinascarthy, who died after he was stabbed in the neck at a house on Bandon Road in the city on January 16th.
Mr Justice Paul McDermot described the killing as a "vicious attack carried out with determination and intent on a defenceless young man".
The teenager was sentenced to life in April and is due to have his sentence reviewed in 2032.
