Temperatures are set to increase today and over the weekend.
It was another frosty start across Cork this morning with motorists being advised to take extra care on minor routes in particular
Meteorologist Cathal Nolan says temperatures over the past week were well below average for the time of year:
"Over the course of the past week or so we have seen temperatures around about 5C but by day and by night, indeed, some of the nights. Most recently they were probably the coolest place that we've experienced at least since 2021, if not, even as far back as 2010 in some locations."
