The family of a man who died following an incident at a nightclub in the city has written to the Taoiseach asking for a new inquest into his death.
Adrian Moynihan was 23 years of age when he died from asphixiation after being restrained in Sidetrax on Oliver Plunkett Street.
A subsequent inquest recorded a verdict of death by misadventure.
Adrian's family says the recent Startdust nightclub verdict and apologies to family members from the Taoiseach reminded them of how they have been treated by the state.
Speaking to RedFM News, Alan Moynihan says he wants a fresh inquest into his brothers death.
"I wrote to the Taoiseach after reading and listening to his apology in the Dáil families of Stardust and he apologised unreservedly to them for the way that they were treated. I would ask to government , to order another inquest into Adrian's death, and allow the jury to come up with their own findings."
