The first day of State Examinations has ended.
It was English Paper one for over 6 thousand Leaving Cert and over 8 thousand Junior Cert students in Cork this morning.
3rd year pupils had Religious Education in the afternoon while 6th year students sat their final Home Economics – Scientific and social exams.
