It will be replaced with a new arts venue
The Echo reports that conditional planning permission has been granted to tear down the building on Washington Street, and replace it with a new ground floor with a cinema, performance space, bar, and cafe.
It's also reported that a 17-bed student accommodation residence will be built above the venue.
