Cork City Council has laid out 24 strict conditions that the operators must meet
The Marina Market sought retention to continue trading, and permission for a new event space, along with parking and access improvements.
While the council's Planning Department is still in the process of preparing to officially release the details of its final decision and attached conditions, it's understood they have granted the Marina Market conditional five-year permission.
In a statement issued to RedFM News a spokesperson for Marina Market said they are delighted to receive planning and look forward to providing Cork with an urban market that will be on par than the best any European city has to offer.
