Rowena Fischer owns Phyll’s Preschool in Bealnamorrive and has been in the preschool industry for over 15 years.
Rowena will be on one of 10 buses heading from Cork to Dublin filled with preschool owners who say they will have to close their doors for good if they don’t protest to get more funding from the Government.
Speaking to RedFM News, Rowena Fisher says getting 69 euro per child per week from the Government isn't enough to keep her preschool open
"It's so, so hard I'm just not making any money I'm running at a loss. I can't take to take a wage for myself. I struggled last Christmas so, so bad I had to borrow from family members to pay my staff especially at Christmas. We got no funding coming from the department for December, you have to wait until January for it and you know staff can't wait. I obviously took no wage for myself, my staff had to get priority. So there is enormous stress and burnout"
