Motorists are being urged to slow down and pay attention on the roads this upcoming bank holiday weekend.
Minister of State for Transport, Jack Chambers, says these appeals are more important now than ever before
"We've seen ongoing devastation across communities, and it's really worrying that last year's trend has persisted into 2024. At the moment, based on current trends we're heading for upwards of over 40 more people killed on our roads in 2024, which would be well over 200 people and that would reverse 10 years of significant progress"
