The Taoiseach says more investment is needed to solve the city’s water discolouration problem.
It’s been close to 3 years since people first started complaining about dirty brown water coming from their taps.
Uisce Éireann expects significant improvement this Summer as it continues to carry out flushing works and replace old cast iron pipes.
Speaking to RedFM News, Taoiseach Micheál Martin says he has met with the water provider on the issue,
"We need to invest more, again, in new supply and new connections, and also in the compliance issue, and there is a big issue, particularly on the North Side. I met with Uisce Éireann in relation to this, they're saying to me, there will be significant incremental improvements, and that's the aim and the hope".
