A group representing flood hit home and business owners in East Cork has welcomed the possible establishment of a task force to examine their needs. A delegation from Midleton and East Cork Flood Action group travelled to Leinster House yesterday where they submitted a petition with 15,000 signatures outlining the supports they need in the wake of Storm Babet.

The Bill which means all adults automatically become an organ donor, unless they opt out, will complete its passage through the Oireachtas today. The Human Tissue Bill will also see new regulations for post mortems and the removal, donation or use of organs for transplant.

New research has found babies will chew on 'non-food' items 88 times a week, with mobile phones the most common item they'll put into their mouths. A survey of 1-thousand parents, with kids aged six-months to two years, found 42 per cent say their babies go for mobile phones.
