A man is due in court this morning charged with the murder of Daena Walsh in Midleton on Friday. 29-year-old Adam Corcoran will appear in court via video link having been remanded in custody on Sunday.

The Minister for Justice Helen McEntee plans to ban the wearing of masks at protests to discourage intimidation. Helen McEntee said she wants to introduce the ban in light of violent protests and disorder targeting buildings designed for asylum seekers.

Patients at the new National Children's Hospital will have their food and medicine delivered by robots. There'll be 76 "nutrient stations" around the hospital which the Automated Guided Vehicles will carry food trolleys to from the catering area.
