The Tánaiste says religious orders have a huge responsibility in relation to redress for victims of sexual abuse in their schools. A statutory inquiry has been announced to investigate nearly 2 thousand 400 allegations of sexual abuse at over 300 religious schools. 166 allegations of sexual abuse were made at the Brothers of Lota Charity in Glanmire between 1960 and 1990 as allegations have been made at 32 Cork schools.
