A rental court should be established in Ireland to protect renters and landlords. That's according to The Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland, who is calling on the government in its pre budget submission to set up a dedicated body to deal with rental disputes.

A 24 year old man has appeared before Cork District Court after assaulting Gavin Sheehan on Oliver Plunkett Street last Friday. Aaron Bohane of St Vincent’s Hostel in the city was charged with assault causing harm to Mr Sheehan who was treated in CUH for injuries but has since been discharged.
