Micheál Martin will be formally elected as Taoiseach later as a new Government forms, almost two months on from the general election. The Dáil will sit at 11am with Cabinet Ministers to be appointed across the afternoon.

Threshold says it hopes the Government's plans for a Rent Register for tenants will be put into action immediately. Rent in the city cost an average of €2000 per month according to the latest figures while it was over €1,500 in the county. The new Programme for Government includes a commitment to introduce a register of rental prices so renters can have more information on what they can expect their monthly costs to be.
