The effects of Storm Herminia are still be felt across the county. A Status Yellow wind warning for Cork as well as Kerry and Waterford will remain in place until 9 o'clock this morning.

Crews from the UK are expected to arrive this week to help with the remaining 246,000 outages following Storm Éowyn. East Cork is the worst affected in the county with around 2,000 people without power around Midleton, Killeagh and Youghal West Cork is also affected wit some homes and businesses in Timoleague, Courtmacsherry, Aghada and Dunmanway still disconnected.

There's an urgent appeal for blood donations in the wake of Storm Éowyn. A high level of respiratory illness within communities has also significantly impacted blood supply. Over 12,000 donations are needed in the coming days and weeks to avoid putting further pressure on the country's hospitals.

An Instagram page celebrating sticks has amassed a following of 2.9 million people. Thousands have submitted clips of their "exciting" sticks to the 'Official Stick Reviews' group.
