Emergency crews from the Netherlands, France, Austria and Finland are due to arrive from today to help the ESB restore electricity supply to homes and businesses across the country. As of last night there were still 180,000 premises without power since storm Éowyn last Friday.

Meanwhile Cork County Council is urging anyone having any issues as a result of the storm to contact them. It's after 1,700 people in Cork were without power yesterday with some of those homes and businesses disconnected since Friday.
