Government parties have been accused of misleading the public, after a poll revealed supporters would have voted differently if they knew the true extent of home-building. A Red C poll in the Business Post shows a quarter of Fianna Fáil voters and 18 per cent of Fine Gael voters would have changed their preference if they knew the number of homes built last year was almost 10,000 lower than the government promised.
