- A member of the Public Accounts Committee says many questions remain unanswered when it comes to RTE. Officials from the State broadcaster were once again questioned on payments to Ryan Tubridy yesterday.
- Water service workers will hold a second day of strike action today. Members of the Unite trade union are in a dispute with Uisce Eireann over keeping their public service status.
- The World Health Organisation has found evidence the sweetener used in diet coke could be linked to liver cancer in humans. Aspartame is also in thousands of other food products including chewing gum, ice cream and yoghurt.
- A status yellow rain warning is in place for every county in the country today. Met Éireann says there's a risk of localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions.
