Emergency services attended the scene of an incident involving a school bus with secondary school students on board yesterday evening in West Cork.

The Bus Éireann school bus service left the road and became stuck in a ditch on the R593 between Drimoleague and Skibbereen after 4pm.

No injuries have been reported.

West Cork food producers Carbery Group have been named the overall winner of the Cork Chamber Cork Company of the Year Awards 2022.

The award was handed to the group at a gala dinner at Páirc Uí Chaoimh
last night which was attended by almost 1,000 people from businesses across the city and county.

Green Rebel received the Emerging Company of the Year award, Simply Blue Group were named Cork SME and Altada were given the large company award.

Nurses will be discussing their concerns over the rising cost of living at today's INMO conference.

The Health Minister Stephen Donnelly will address the Annual Delegate event in County Sligo.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation will also talk about the cost of commuting, with some Dublin hospitals charging nurses for parking.

Counting gets underway in the Northern Ireland Stormont Assembly elections this morning.

The polls show Sinn Féin is set to be the largest party and take the position of First Minister for the first time in Northern Ireland's history.
