A man in his 80s has died in a road crash inside the Tipperary border near Mitchelstown.
The crash happened at Loughlin's Bridge in Clogheen at around twenty to three yesterday afternoon, when a car collided with a tree.
The man received treatment at the scene but was later pronounced dead.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dash-cam footage, to come forward.

Water safety advocates are urging people to opt for lifeguarded beaches if they're planning to visit the seaside today.
Water Safety Ireland says lifeguards rescued 206 people last August, who were at risk of drowning.
The RNLI is reporting a higher volume of call-outs, due to larger numbers visiting coastal areas in recent weeks.
