The body of a woman in her 40s has been recovered after car entered the water at Kennedy Quay in the city.

Two children who were in the car when it entered the water last night were able to get out and were rescued from the water by people on the quay.

They were taken to CUH where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Road Safety Authority is urging road users to ensure they stay safe by planning their route ahead of time, to stay alert driving in unfamiliar areas and to take a break if tired behind the wheel.
