The Irish Examiner report that the religious order has sold a three acre site and 16 bedroom home for nearly 4 million Euro to property developers Lyonshall.
The company will now explore development options at the site, which is believed could take up to 80 units.
The remaining sisters at the site will be housed in small individual homes elsewhere in Cork.
