There's Been A 6% Jump In Average Cost Of A Home In Cork City

It's just below the national average of 7.4% according to the latest report by Daft.ie.

Areas with the largest increases include Dublin 8, Dublin 10, Kilkenny and Donegal, which all have prices more than 10 per cent higher than a year ago.

Daft report author, Ronan Lyons says a number of cities have seen an increase:

"If you look around the country we can see prices rising pretty significantly, so in Galway city in Limerick city prices are up nearly 10% year on year. In Waterford City they are up by about 7.5% in line with the national average. And even in Cork City where the increase is smaller than the national average. It's still almost 6% year on year, and there's plenty of markets both rural and urban that are seeing very strong prices at the moment."
