Cork City FC has confirmed the news
The run, in association with Marymount, was due to take place on Sunday July 26th at City's training grounds in Bishopstown.
The Echo reports the 5K run in memory of the former Manchester United and Celtic midfielder will instead take place online.
All are encouraged to take part and people can register for the event via Eventbrite.
