Thousands of music fans will return to the iconic Live at the Marquee tent this evening for the first time in two years.
Returning favourites The Coronas kick off the first of 19 performances at the Marque
Tom Jones, Pet Shop Boys, River Dance and Tommy Tiernan will also be performing before pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo plays the closing night on the 29th of June.
It’s the 16th year of the Marquee and over 1.4 million tickets have been sold since 2005.
Speaking to RedFM News, Danny from The Coronas says it's one of their favourite venues to play:
"It feels like an arena but it's also intimate, like you can see the faces in the front row, you can see the expressions, you can see... It's that perfect size where it's absolutely massive and the atmosphere is incredible but it also feels like people are right on top of you. The venue... It's the town... It's the vibe of the Marquee. The walk up from town, like you guys walked up this morning. I'm gonna walk back after soundcheck. And actually stopped into the market there in the Marina.
It was lovely. Had a coffee".
