The Government has announced over 5.5 million euro in funding to 'upgrade' the current free meals initiative to a warm nutritious dinner every lunchtime
Over 35,000 Deis school pupils across Ireland are set to benefit from the scheme.
It follows a pilot study of 36 primary schools by Fresh Today across the country in the last academic year.
