Thousands of supporters and spectators are expected to descend on the city for tomorrow's Cork City Marathon.
More than 12,500 runners from 37 countries have registered for the full marathon, half marathon and the new 10k race.
The three races finish on St Patrick’s Street.
Speaking to RedFM News, Cork City Marathon Race Director, Eamon Hayes says the fine weather will make it all the more enjoyable for spectators:
"Last year was so wet, it was really tough on supporters. But this year with the fine weather, get into the the city centre early, get into town early, pick a few nice spots in the course, and really enjoy the day, because there's a super atmosphere when there's a marathon in the city. It's such a positive event. There's a real buzz. It's a great spectator sport. There're very few for events that you can go to for free as a spectator".
