Up to 5,000 people are expected to descend on Crosshaven as the Royal Cork Yacht Club will host the biggest ever Topper World Championships
60 sailors from all across the globe set up ship at the RCYC for the five-day international sailing competition
The RCYC will host 250 participants from countries such as the UK, Belgium, Spain, Malta and the People’s Republic of China for this year’s competition, with entrants aged between eight years old to their teens.
Two days of registration will begin this weekend followed by five full days of racing.
The competition will then conclude on Friday evening July 28th with a prize-giving ceremony taking place.
