It's National Hug Day today and Ronald McDonald House Charities has launched an appeal for people to send a hug to their loved ones to help keep the charity's doors open in 2022
The Ronald McDonald House provides accommodation and a supportive environment for families whose children are seriously ill and receiving treatment at Dublin's Crumlin Hospital.
The charity has supported over 930 families across Cork by enabling them to stay together and be actively involved in their children’s day to day life while they are long term in hospital.
So in order to celebrate National Hug Day the charity is urging people to send a hug through their little bunny Barróg, which is the Irish word for Hug,
The little grey teddy-bunny can be sent to someone you miss, and all proceeds from the purchase will go directly to supporting the families of sick children staying at The Ronald McDonald House.
