The yellow weather warning over Cork has been lifted.

Met Éireann said the warning which was in operation until 6am would see unseasonably strong and gusty winds and very high tides which could lead to fallen trees and power outages.

High tide is expected to hit the city at 8.50am (ten to nine) this morning which could impact low lying streets and quays

Drivers are advised to watch out for debris on the roads this morning

It's Leaving Cert results day.

Almost 61 thousand students who sat the exams will get their results this morning.

They can access them online from 10 o'clock.
