It's D-Day for Leaving Cert students across Cork.
As usual the first exam will be English Paper 1 from half past 9.
Due to public health measures there are more than 5 thousand exam centres being used to allow for social distancing.
This year sixth year students have the option of sitting the exams, accepting calculated grades or choosing both.

Cabinet Ministers will discuss new laws to ban landlords from charging large upfront payments to secure accommodation.
A rent protection bill will ban landlords asking for more than a deposit and a maximum of two months' rent in advance when taking on tenants.
It will also mean those paying for student specific accommodation won't have to pay large lump sums at the start of a semester if they choose not to, but will be able to pay monthly instead.

Traders say the reopening of outdoor dining has brought a hugely positive atmosphere to the city.
Pubs, restaurants and cafés have been allowed to serve customers since Monday following the latest easing of restrictions.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin hailed the return of outdoor hospitality during a visit to Princes Street in the city yesterday.
He also praised businesses and City Hall for their work in pedestrianising 17 city centre streets to allow space for outdoor dining.

Cork City Council is planning a series of outdoor lives music events for August and September.
The council is looking for event producers to develop and deliver a programme for the city.
A maximum budget of €116,000 has been allocated and is in response to the Governments Local Live Performance Programming scheme
