Tough action needs to be taken on the men who buy sex in Cork city
A study by the Sexual Exploitation Research and Policy Institute into the online sex trade found signs that the women online are being trafficked
76 young women and men with Cork locations were being advertised with many offering risky sexual practices that carry the potential for STI's
Mary Crilly of the Sexual Violence Centre Cork told RedFM News the demand for the sex trade needs to be discouraged
"I know traffickers will do this, but if there's no buyers, if there's no demand for the trade, it would not be happening. So, I mean people, and men who are going in to do this, they can't kind of say, well, I'm doing no harm, they are doing harm - they are creating demand, they're creating all this"
