Tougher enforcement measures for poor driving are needed to improve road safety

Road safety campaigner Christina Donnelly says it's heartbreaking to witness the rising number of people being killed on our roads as the death toll is the highest in a decade

Christina's son Brendan was killed by a drunk driver in an horrific collision in East Cork in 2009 when he was on his way to Cork Airport

Speaking to RedFM News she says it's shocking to see 600 people fined for speeding yesterday during National Slow Down Day

"All people are asked to do is to really abide by the law and the rules of the road and road safety, for not endangering their lives, of the lives of others. And yet six hundred people yesterday could not abide by that and keep the foot off the pedal"
