A tourist from Liverpool has returned to a Cork hospital to thank the doctor who saved his life after a heart attack.
Mark Lang was on holiday in Cork city with his wife when he suffered three heart attacks during the night.
They were staying at the Kingsley Hotel which is seven minutes' drive from Cork University Hospital.
Mr. Lang paid tribute to Professor Noel Caplice, who along with the nurses and anaesthetists at the emergency department, helped to save his life.
