Helen Jones and Keith O'Hara of Catherlag Avenue in Mayfield deny murdering 55 year old Paul Jones at his home on Bandon Road on the 4th of September 2019.
Helen Jones also denies a charge of aggravated burglary and Keith O’Hara denies a charge of burglary on the same occasion.
Prosecuting counsel Siobhan Lankford told the jury that Pat Moynihan of Sun Cabs would testify that he dropped the pair to Bandon Road at around 9:45pm and saw Helen Jones banging aggressively on the door of Paul Jones' house with the handle of a knife she was holding.
The taxi driver is also due to tell the court that he saw aggression between both parties.
The state is due to produce witnesses who would say they saw a woman standing over a body prone on the ground in the house.
The state would also say that both Helen Jones and Keith O'Hara left the scene at around 10:07pm.
The case continues.
