Two derelict sites on Thomas Davis Street in Blackpool are set to be Compulsorily Purchased.
The City Council is expected to publish a Notice of Intention to Compulsorily Acquire the two sites at 21 and 22 Thomas Davis Street in Blackpool in the coming days.
Hoarding has surrounded the derelict properties for years.
Housing association, Respond, is planning to develop 35 new apartments at the location - as part of the renewal of Blackpool as a living village.
