In a statement to RedFM news, UCC said:
"University College Cork has a dedicated Student Complaints Policy and Procedure in place to assist both students and staff in the resolution of complaints promptly and fairly.
Under this policy all submissions are handled with due consideration to confidentiality with respect to both students and staff.
As such and with respect to fair procedures generally, UCC cannot comment on any queries regarding any submissions that may be made under this process.
UCC upholds robust academic standards, and all modules and assessments are reviewed by external examiners and external accrediting bodies, where relevant.
Admissions criteria for programmes specify English Language requirements, as approved by the University's Academic Board. International candidates are only accepted to programmes at University College Cork if they have been awarded the required scores in international standardised tests of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers.
Where necessary, UCC provides supports to students who may require additional language supports."
