The city’s newest student accommodation has been officially opened this morning.
Students will move into UCC’s 255-bed Crow’s Nest at Victoria Cross in the coming days.
The 9-storey towers include 125 bike spaces, a study room, a soundproof rehearsal room for musicians, 24 hour security and costs €900 a month plus €600 a year for utilities.
UCC now runs over 1,500 student beds across the city including Castlewhite, which costs €100 per week.
Speaking to RedFM News, UCC President Professor John O’Halloran says the university is confident that they have delivered a more affordable option for students:
