The Ukrainian flag is flying over City Hall this afternoon as an act of solidarity with the besieged country's people.
Lord Mayor, Councillor Colm Kelleher has also instructed that City Hall be lit up tonight in the Ukrainian colours.
The City Council has said that "the people of Cork stand in solidarity with Ukraine and with the Ukrainian community here in Cork and Ireland."
