Emergency services were called to the scene in the early hours of this morning.
Fire crews from Anglesea Street and Ballyvolane responded to reports of a fire at House of Handsome barbers on the Redforge Road at 4:45am.
The fire was brought under control and crews returned to base at 5:30.
There are no reports of any injuries.
Garda Press have told RedFM News that the scene is currently being preserved for a technical examination later this morning.
It follows a fire at the neighbouring 3 Degrees Hair salon a week and a half ago.
Gardaí are investigating that fire as a possible arson however Gardaí are not linking the two incidents.
